"Upon the tops of broken pillars and the remains of grand castles, wardens of smoke perch in unwavering resentment. Once great protectors of ancient kingdoms, they sat loyally on decorated perches and stone walls. They were beloved by all, revered and cared for by kings, warding off bad omens and bringing prosperity to their kingdoms through resilience and strength. It became customary to decorate the plating of these dragons in intricate patterns and designs, offering them gems and treasure to motivate their ever-watchful presence. The swords on their backs became symbols of their loyalty to their kingdoms. Whether earned through combat or through offerings, these dragons carried them with pride whilst defending their homes. Over time, their bodies began to lay still with the gradual fall
