Murder Mystery 2 Godly & Chroma Values Guide: Ancients, Fluctuation & Trading Secrets
Murder Mystery 2 Godly & Chroma Values Guide: Ancients, Fluctuation & Trading Secrets
Murder Mystery 2 (MM2) possesses one of the longest-standing and most fiercely competitive trading scenes on Roblox. With weapons dating back to 2014, the economy encompasses ancient scythes, spectral revolvers, rainbow-shifting Chromas, and ultra-rare vintage blades.
Yet navigating MM2 values can feel overwhelming. Weapons that were once worth thousands of points have settled into mid-tier status, while holiday Ancients have skyrocketed to the top of the leaderboards. Furthermore, the community is often split between competing value lists.
This guide provides an in-depth breakdown of MM2 weapon tiers, the real story behind Chroma values, and proven strategies to trade from a basic Seer into top-tier Ancients.
1. The MM2 Weapon Hierarchy Explained
Every weapon in Murder Mystery 2 belongs to a specific tier that dictates its baseline collector appeal:
| Tier Category | Example Weapons | Market Role | Stability Rating | |---------------|-----------------|-------------|------------------| | Apex Ancients | Harvester, Icepiercer, Bat, Traveler's Axe | Top currency for elite inventories | Very High | | Historic Trophy | Corrupt (Original 2014 Glitched Knife) | The undisputed crown jewel of MM2 | Extremely High | | Chroma Godlies | Chroma Fang, Chroma Luger, Chroma Darkbringer | Visually stunning color-cyclers | Moderate to High | | Classic Godlies | Luger, Shark, Heat, Laser, Gemstone | Everyday liquid trading currency | High | | Vintages | America, Golden, Blood, Shadow, Prince | Discontinued classic Roblox gear | Low to Moderate | | Craftable Base | Seer (Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Yellow) | Entry point into the Godly tier | High |
2. The Rise, Fall, and Rebirth of Chroma Weapons
Few items in Roblox history carry as fascinating an economic story as Chroma weapons in MM2.
The Peak Era
When Chromas were introduced, they had a hatch chance of approximately 1 in 10,000 from mystery boxes. Because of their shifting RGB rainbow color animations, they instantly became the ultimate status symbol. At their historical peak, a single Chroma Luger or Chroma Gemstone could fetch thousands of value points.
The Duplication Crash
During subsequent years, mass duplication exploits entered public servers, flooding the market with unboxed Chromas. As supply surged uncontrollably, Chroma values collapsed by over 90%.
The Modern Reality
Today, the market has thoroughly stabilized. Chromas are no longer considered unreachable multi-thousand-point grails, but they remain incredibly popular aesthetic weapons that trade quickly.
- A Chroma Fang or Chroma Heat is an outstanding mid-tier trading asset because casual players love the rainbow visuals.
- Always check the latest MM2 values on RobloTrade rather than assuming older lists reflect today's post-dupe reality.
3. Apex Ancients: Harvester, Icepiercer & Bat
While classic Godlies like Luger remain steady, the true wealth in modern MM2 trading resides in limited-edition Ancient Weapons introduced during Halloween and Christmas events.
Why Ancients Rule the Leaderboards:
- Unique Throwing & Firing Animations: Weapons like the Harvester (Crossbow) and Icepiercer (Crossbow Gun) have custom projectile models that stand out from regular revolvers.
- Dual Functionality: They serve as both prestige collectibles and superior in-game weapons for sheriff rounds.
- Massive Liquidity: Top traders accept Harvester, Bat, and Icepiercer as cash-equivalent currency. If you want to acquire Corrupt or complete a massive multi-knife trade, holding Ancients is essential.

4. Supreme Values vs. MM2Values: How to Navigate Discrepancies
If you spend any time in MM2 trading servers or community Discords, you will hear players asking: "Are you using Supreme or MM2Values?"
Understanding the Two Lists:
- Supreme Values: Generally tracks real player demand, transaction velocity, and underpay/overpay trends. Favored by hardcore competitive traders.
- MM2Values: The original legacy list. Tends to update more conservatively and often rates older craftable godlies and vintages slightly higher.
How to Trade Ethically Between Lists:
When two players consult different lists, value gaps naturally emerge:
- An item might be rated 120 on MM2Values but 105 on Supreme.
- Never insult or argue with a trading partner over their chosen list. Instead, find items where both lists agree that the trade is fair.
- Use the RobloTrade W/F/L Calculator as an objective mediator: our platform aggregates consensus data across multiple sources to provide a balanced fair-value indicator.
5. The "Godly Stacking" Strategy
How do you climb from a single unboxed Godly into an Ancient like Harvester? The most reliable path is Godly Stacking.
Step 1: Break High Tiers into Multiple Lower Godlies
High-tier holders often pay an overpay bonus if you can offer them multiple solid mid-tiers they can distribute among their friends or alt accounts.
Step 2: Target Underpriced Classics
Acquire liquid, recognizable weapons like Luger, Shark, and Heat. Avoid Vintages (like Golden or Cowboy) and low-demand pets, which are notoriously difficult to trade without taking a steep discount.
Step 3: Bundle and Upgrade
Assemble a stack of 4 to 6 mid-tier Godlies and look for players looking to downsize an Ancient:
- 1 Luger + 1 Laser + 1 Heat + 1 Fang → Upgrade into an Elderwood Scythe or Candleflame.
- 2 Candleflames + adds → Upgrade into an Icepiercer.
Summary Checklist Before You Trade
- [x] Inspect the knife/gun closely: Confirm your partner isn’t offering a vintage or common reskin that mimics a Godly icon.
- [x] Avoid low-demand pets: Unless you are getting a massive discount, MM2 pets are significantly harder to flip than weapons.
- [x] Check stability tags: In our RobloTrade directory, watch out for items tagged with "Fluctuating" or "Underpaying".
- [x] Calculate the trade balance: Verify the offer on the RobloTrade Calculator to ensure you aren't leaving value on the table.
With patience, attention to demand, and smart stacking, you can navigate Murder Mystery 2's economy with complete confidence.
