Adopt Me is the largest pet-collecting and trading game on Roblox, with a trading economy driven by rarity, age, demand, and exclusivity. Pets are the central trading category, organized into five rarity tiers — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra-Rare, and Legendary — but within each tier, factors like whether a pet is neon, mega neon, flyable, or rideable can multiply its value several times over. A neon legendary pet can be worth more than a dozen regular legendaries combined.

Understanding pet value requires looking beyond the rarity label. Limited-time pets from past events — especially older ones from Halloween, Christmas, or Easter updates — often carry premium trade values because their supply is permanently capped. A 2020 Halloween pet, even at Rare tier, can outvalue a currently available Legendary pet simply because fewer of them exist in circulation. The age of a pet (newborn, junior, pre-teen, teen, post-teen, full grown) also affects its worth — fully grown pets are more valuable because they can be used to create neon versions immediately.

Eggs occupy a unique position in the Adopt Me economy. Each egg type has a known hatch pool — the set of pets that can emerge from it — and traders value eggs based on the best possible outcome from that pool. Retired eggs (no longer sold in the nursery) gain value over time as their supply dwindles. The Gumball Machine eggs, Aussie Eggs, and Farm Eggs are classic examples of eggs that became increasingly valuable after retirement.

Toys, strollers, and vehicles round out the Adopt Me trading ecosystem. While these categories generally carry lower value than pets, rare toys from limited events — especially plushies, rattles, and throw toys tied to specific update themes — can attract serious collector interest. Strollers with unique designs or from retired gift rotations have a dedicated collector market. Vehicles operate similarly: a legendary vehicle from an old update can hold significant trade value among collectors.
